On October 16, 2017, we kick-off the inaugural nabs day. A day dedicated to supporting the National Advertising Benevolent Society (NABS), a unique charity designed to support the health and well-being of all media, marketing and communications professionals in Canada.
You probably already know someone who has reached out to nabs for help. From personal to career to family challenges, nabs is there when other support systems are not. But demand for nabs’ services is growing faster than funds being raised to support this service.
This year, nabs day is focused on the story of Peter Vaz. After 23 years in the media business, Peter was diagnosed with ALS. Peter doesn’t want your sympathy, he just wants 10 minutes of your time.
On October 16th, we want every industry association and member across Canada to pause and support an organization that supports all of us. Here’s how:
- Share the word leading up to the event and encourage all your colleagues, friends and family to join the nabs day Thunderclap. A Thunderclap is a collective, scheduled social post that shares a single message. It’s fast, free, safe and easy. https://www.thunderclap.it/projects/62011-nabsday
- Watch the live stream event at nabsday.org on October 16th at 1:30 PM EST for 10 minutes to hear Peter’s story
- Donate to the cause at nabsday.org. Help us reach the goal of $200,000 by December 31, 2017
Thank you in advance for your participation and support.
